Grown in the mountains of western Letefoho, Rotutu coffee is cultivated under natural shade trees using organic, time-honoured farming methods. Coffee has been a part of Timor-Leste’s history since Portuguese colonisation, but years of political upheaval left the industry neglected. Now, as the country rebuilds, its farmers are restoring their coffee forests and refining their craft to produce exceptional speciality coffee.

The Rotutu producer group has been at the forefront of this revival, selectively harvesting only the ripest cherries and continually improving quality. With support from our sourcing partners, Karst Organics, they have access to both central processing and a parchment purchasing model that allows them to honour traditional methods.
