Marsellesa E

Marsellesa E

This fully washed lot comes from Mount Sunzu, a climate-positive farm in northern Zambia. Founded by three Swiss entrepreneurs with backgrounds in agronomy, agriculture, and finance, Mount Sunzu is reshaping what coffee farming can look like - combining environmental restoration, modern infrastructure, and a focus on quality.

The farm sits near Mbala, at the foot of Zambia’s highest mountain. Coffee is grown on 115 hectares, surrounded by 600 hectares of protected and actively reforested Miombo forest. Irrigation is solar-powered, beekeeping supports biodiversity, and processing takes place on-site using a range of methods, including natural, honey, and washed.

This lot was selectively picked and dry fermented in small tanks using natural yeasts and bacteria. It was then dried on raised beds for ten days before being hulled, graded, and hand-sorted.

The result is a structured and balanced cup with notes of cacao nibs, dark chocolate, hazelnut, and walnut. Sweet and rounded, with a clean finish - this is a solid washed profile from a farm driving both flavour and impact.
