Bukonzo Dream

Bukonzo Dream

Nestled in the hills of western Uganda, smallholder farmers cultivate tiny plots in the Rwenzori Mountains. Each farm, typically between 1.5 and 2.2 acres, is often family-run and passed down through generations. Together, 300–500 of these farmers contribute to every lot produced by Agri Evolve.

Founded in 2015, Agri Evolve is dedicated to improving lives through better farming practices. They invest in agronomy training, pay a premium for ripe cherries, and reinvest profits back into the local community. This commitment shifts the focus from quantity to quality, reflected in every cup.

This season, weather challenges led to a change in drying methods. Heavy rains forced a move from their usual sun-drying process to a combination of sun and mechanical drying, ensuring the coffee’s quality was maintained despite the conditions.

Grown in rich Haplic Phaeozem soils, the coffee takes around two weeks to dry, with each batch shaped by both the land and the people. This dedication continues to elevate the quality of Ugandan coffee, delivering a unique and exceptional experience with every brew.
